Estimated grades and Phase 1 ECF LMS system; Player Allocation files
When players have an Estimated Grade it will be shown with an “L” to indicate “local” – previously “E” was used. E.g. 120L. The reason for the change is to bring us into line with the new ECF LMS “League Management System”, which is a software package allowing counties to input league match results; it also creates league tables and establishes files for grading. The system encourages captains to enter results direct on line, rather than through a Controller, thus saving time. As Dorset (B&DCL & County League), we are participating in this “Phase 1” of the ECF LMS, led by Phil Wallace, County Grader. It will therefore “shadow” our existing results reporting. Before Christmas, there will be a link on our website to the new system.
And just to say the file on “Player Allocations” is updated weekly and uploaded to B&DCL Info 2017/18 every Saturday. It shows lists of players, by clubs, allocated to teams and “Reserve Places” used to date. Each team in every B&DCL league is allowed up to, and including, 10 Reserve Places in the season. Not applicable if only one team entered by a club, or the lowest of several teams. When a player, who has appeared as a Reserve in a higher team and is then allocated to that higher team for the rest of the season, his or her Reserve Places are deducted from the accumulated team total.
