8 May. New Milton B were just short of staying up, finishing 1 point behind Ringwood B. But they only lost 1 match out of their last 4, winning 2 and also their team has experienced new recruits. So all promises well for next season, when they are likely to be one of the front runners in Div 4, a division they won last season. In the match 8 May, Stephen Disney (New Milton) drew with the fast improving Adam Ursell, Rob Halse won on board 2 for Highcliffe, but New Milton won the match with 2 wins on boards 3 & 4 from John Belinger and Mihail Puiu Nutu respectively.

Highcliffe B will be pleased with their mid-table position – they were competitive throughout and did particularly well against higher graded teams such as Southbourne C
