It is with very deep regret that Tony Buckfield has just informed Wimborne club members that our good friend and former Club Secretary and Dorset Grading Officer has sadly died of cancer. I am sure that all of us who knew him will greatly miss his kindness and gentle humour.

Phil was a stalwart of local chess working very hard in his quiet way behind the scenes.
