For the third summer, Southbourne Chess Club are running Thursday afternoon Chess from 4 to 6 pm between 23 July and 3 September 2026. We play in a relaxed, friendly outdoor cafe setting in Bournemouth Square. You’ll meet like-minded people and get the chance to improve your game if you want to.
It doesn’t matter if you’re new to chess or you’ve been playing for years. You’ll find players of all levels here.
All equipment is supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Chess is free, but you’ll have to buy any drinks or food that you fancy at Live@The Square, 5 Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth BH2 6ED.
