• • 1st Prize – £100 plus the Dorset Blitz Trophy

  • Veteran (65 or over on 1st September 2026) – £40

  • Super Veteran (75 or over on 1st September 2026) – £20

  • Junior (under 18 on 31st August 2026) – £40

The Dorset Blitz Trophy will be awarded to the highest placed players who have, in 2025/26, played in either the local DCCA or B&DCL, or were born in Dorset.

(Please note we reserve the right to retain the trophy in the event of a non-local winner)

Format

• 11 Round Swiss

• Time Control: 7 minutes plus 3 seconds a move

Food and Drink

• FREE refreshments all day!

• FREE Hot and Cold buffet lunch!

Entry Fee

• £25 for Adults

• £20 for Juniors

• There is an additional late entry fee charge of £5 for all entries received after 27th September 2026

• Early entry is recommended as entries on the day may not be accepted
