Success as Dorset juniors reach the Delancey UK Chess Challenge Terafinal

CONGRATULATIONS to two Dorset junior chess players who have made it to the Terafinal of the Delancey UK Chess Challenge.

Leo Camopy  (U8 boys) and Larissa Cuthbert  (U12 Girls) were both successful in qualifying from the  Gigafinal  stage which took place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August.  Well done to both of you.

Larissa and Leo will now compete in the Terafinal which takes place on 5th and 6th September over two days. The Terafinal is the final round of this prestigious UK wide junior chess completion.

This is the third time that Larissa has qualified for the Terafinal.

All of us at Dorset Junior Chess wish Leo and Larissa the very best of luck.

The Delancey UK chess Challenge is the world’s largest chess competition.  Due to Covid-19, the UK Chess Challenge quickly adapted and moved from an over-the board tournament to being entirely online in 2020 – on lichess.org.  Further details on the Delancey UK Chess Challenge and the Terafinal can be found on https://www.delanceyukschoolschesschallenge.com/
