The 4th Dorset Blitz Championship 2022

Sections and Rates of Play

Players will be placed into all-play-all groups based on rating. 

Depending on the number of entrants, we will have either:

• 10-player groups (9 rounds) with a time control of 10 mins + 5 secs
  or

• 12-player groups (11 rounds) with a time control of 8 mins + 3 secs.

Prizes

Minimum Guaranteed Prizes for Each Section:

• 1^st Prize – £50

• 2^nd Prize – £25

Prizes for top two juniors (under 18 on 1^st Sept. 2022) – highest scores over all groups.

Prize for best veteran (65 or over on 1^st Sept. 2022) – highest score over all groups.

The Dorset Blitz Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the highest rated group.

(Please note we reserve the right to retain the trophy in the event of a non-local winner)

Food and Drink

FREE hot and cold buffet lunch!

FREE refreshments all day.

Entry Fees

£12.00 for adults

£8.00 for juniors

£17.00 for entries received after 24^th September.

Note: depending on numbers already entered, entries on the day may not be accepted
