The 2nd Ringwood Rapidplay took place last Sunday, 23rd June.

The tournament was sold out three weeks beforehand, which is a testament to the popularity of the format.

There were two sections: Open and Intermediate (under 1800).  The Open section was won by GM Matthew Turner and the Intermediate section was won by Steven Harding.

There were several other notable performances, including, in the Intermediate section, from two inexperienced juniors, Daniel Aron and Ojas Dhall, who scored 4.5/6.
