After a tough season which saw Wessex D, Wessex E & Wessex F all relegated we still had two teams qualify for their respective Division title play-offs which began on 21st April:
- Wessex A in Division 1
- Wessex C in Division 2

Division 1
Wessex A faced a strong Streatham & Brixton team, who had won their group. It always looked like a tough match as we were out graded on all boards.
A win from Peter and a draw from Jaimie was not enough to avoid a narrow match loss.
Jaimie’s game was a remarkable 121 moves epic, with Jaimie showing excellent endgame skills to defend a rook and pawn endgame where his opponent was pressing for a win for the last 70+ moves !
Division 2
Wessex C also faced a higher graded team in Morpeth. Another tantalisingly close match where a draw from Roger & a win from Bill still saw us edged out.
