The Bournemouth & District Chess League AGM is to be held:

• at 7.30pm on Tuesday 16th June 2026

• at Tuckton Social Club, 222 Tuckton Road, Southbourne, BH6 3AA (the home venue of Southbourne Chess Club).

All members of the B&DCL clubs are welcome to attend.

2. There is a vacancy for the League Secretary for which no proposal has been received.

3. The Rule Change proposals, to be added as part of League Tournament Club Rules 2(b) & 3(c), to be voted on at the meeting, are as follows:

To be added as part of League Club Tournament Rule 2(b):

A player who has been assigned an estimated (local) rating may have their local rating reassessed and amended by the Rating Officer / League Controller at any point of the season where it is believed their true playing strength is a minimum of 150 points higher (or lower) than their local rating.

To be added as part of League Club Tournament Rule 3(d):

Each club can appoint a wildcard player who can play for any of the club’s higher teams without impacting the number of reserve places for the higher team(s). However, Rule 3(c) must still be complied with.
