Date and Venue
The Bournemouth & District Chess League AGM is to be held:
- at 7.30pm on Tuesday 10th June 2025
- at Tuckton Social Club, 222 Tuckton Road, Southbourne, BH6 3AA (the home venue of Southbourne Chess Club).
All members of the B&DCL clubs are welcome to attend.
Key Points
1. A link to the full AGM agenda and proposals for amendments to the rules are given at the end of this article.
2. There are vacancies for President & League Secretary. A proposal has been received for the position of President but no proposals have been received for the position of League Secretary.
3. There will be a discussion around the League structure for next season.
4. The Rule Change proposal, to be added as part of League Tournament Club Rule 3(c), is as follows:
The League Controller shall have the discretion at the request of a club to reallocate a player from the team for which he was registered at the start of the season to a team in a lower division if there is a genuine reason why this would be fair in the circumstances. Rule 3(b) shall continue to apply at all times so the higher team must continue to have at least four allocated players.
