Dorset Juniors win again in round 6 of the Online Junior 4NCL

4ncl competition

Against tougher opposition than they have faced in previous rounds, Dorset Juniors still managed to win in Round 6 of the Online Junior 4NCL.

We out-rated our opponents but had some mixed results.  Well done to Jackson for winning both his matches!

Both Zander and Joshua also did well with one draw and one win each.

It was unfortunate that Ellis defaulted in his first match as this seemed to put him on the back foot in the second match. These things happen.

Nevertheless, we still managed to grab the win and hold on to second place in the Junior 4NCL online  Division 4 league, so well done. With just one round to go, there is currently only one other team on 10 points with us  – Chess Challengers A. Rogue Rooks, at the top of the table on 12 points, look like favourites to win the league but who knows.

Given that Chess Challengers A have already played Rogue Rooks in an earlier round, it looks highly likely that our last round will be against the leaders.

Our Dorset Juniors team almost certainly need to win (or maybe draw) the last round to remain above Chess Challengers A but it does depend on how these other teams just below us do. If we beat Rogue Rooks we could win the Division! The top two teams are promoted to the next division.
