The Hampshire Chess Congress & Hampshire Individual Championships will take place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th November 2023 at the Lysses House Hotel, 51 High Street, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 7BQ.
A major change this year is that the Open is FIDE rated.
- OPEN (FIDE RATED): £130, £85, £40The highest placed Hampshire player receives the Silver Rook TrophyUnder 2015 rating prize: £60. The highest placed U 2015 Hampshire player receives the Len Walters Trophy
- MAJOR:(Under 1900): £115, £75, £35The highest-placed Hampshire player receives the Peter Marshall Cup.Under 1750 rating prize: £50
- MINOR:(Under 1600): £100, £65, £30The highest placed Hampshire player receives the Parsons CupUnder 1450 rating prize: £40
A number of Dorset players entered last year there were a record number of entries in a venue which can not take more than a 100 participants. Given that the Open is FIDE rated it may attract additional players. The tournament is already a third full and there is normally a rush of entrants in early October, so if you wish to play it may be advisable to enter soon.
