UK Chess Challenge Megafinal 2: Dorset Chess Juniors in action again

Dorset Junior Chess players were again in action this weekend, this time in the second of the three Megafinals of the Delancey UK Chess Challenge on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June.  Amongst those taking part this weekend were Jamie, Zander, Lohit, and Harry.

Congratulations to  Jamie playing in the U14 Mixed who  achieved the qualification level of 4 points from 6 rounds, coming 23rd out of 176 in a tough section, to progress to the next round, the Gigafinals.

Also congratulations to Zander (U10 Boys) who also scored 4 points and came 39th out of 261.

Round 3 of the Megafinals is next weekend.  We wish all Dorset juniors taking part in this round the very best of luck. The Gigafinals take place on the weekends of 3rd& 4th July and 17th& 18th  July and the ultimate round, the Terafinal Grand Finale, is in October at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
