Effort is being made to organise a Western Counties Championship online. Ian Clark is coordinating on behalf of Dorset.
This is an exciting opportunity for our County players to represent Dorset without all the traveling and expense that was previously involved. Ian is therefore looking for players for the Dorset team/teams.

The proposed format is:
- Teams will have 16 players
- Matches will played once every three weeks on a Sunday evening, starting at 7:00 pm (so no clash with other online events), commencing in January
- The time control will be 90 minutes with 15 second increment
- Games will be hosted on Lichess
- Assuming all seven western counties participate there will be six rounds.
Depending on the level of interest from counties there may be a grading limited team event as well as an open event.
