We were sad to hear that Phil Sorensen has passed away.

Phil represented both Poole and Bournemouth Chess Clubs in the local leagues since 2009 having previously played in the London Chess League. He played his last game in the B&DCL Team Handicap Knockout Cup in February 2020 for Bournemouth just prior to the Covid restrictions being introduced.
