Poole win again in online team event

The second team event organised by Martin Clancy of Ringwood Chess Club was a huge success with 54 players participating, including a few from two Jamaican clubs with a loose connection to Salisbury.

Congratualtions to Poole who won the event convincingly.   Oscar Garcia and Richard Allis were the top two points scorers in the event, Dave Fuller had the highest rating performance (2412 !), and Mike Duggan contributed with a none too shabby 16 points.

Southbourne were clear in second whilst Highcliffe narrowly pipped the Pitterson Chess Institute, run by Jamaican IM Jomo Pitterson, to third.

This is now going to be a regular event on the last Monday of every month.   Will anyone be able knock Poole off the top spot?

PS: If you fancy something a little different, on Monday 6th July there is a Three Check Chess variant individual event.
