Division 3: Dorset Juniors 1
In Division 3, Zander Booth, Jason Wang and Hugo Melling won comprehensively on boards 1 to 3, all with 2-0 victories. Sam Hooks playing on board 4 was unfortunate in that his opponent didn’t turn up for either match, but did earn full score as a result.
As a result of the default, the opposing team received a deduction of 0.5 per default, so ended up with a -1 score, giving a final result of 8 to -1. The results from other teams in the same division can be found here.
This result puts Dorset Juniors 1 at the top of Group A in Division 3 which is a fantastic achievement, although it is still very early days.
Interestingly Rogue Rooks, the only team to beat us last season, head up Group B.
Division 4: Dorset Juniors 2
Another exceptional scoreline with a 7-1 win for Dorset Juniors 2. There were 2-0 wins for Jack Baskett, Jackson Vann and Michal Orszulak and a 1-1 draw for Arthur Hayward.

On paper, in this round, Dorset Juniors 2 actually had the higher rated opponents when compared to the ratings of Dorset Juniors 1’s opponents!
This moves Dorset Juniors 2 up to 7th place in Division 4.
