As the new season approaches there are plenty of local chess events happening.

| Thurs 14th | Dorchester Jamboree. Poole, Wimborne, Ringwood, Purbeck, Yeovil, Weymouth and Dorchester have been invited. |
| Mon 18th | KO Handicap Cup Semi-final, Ringwood vs Southbourne. |
| Sun 24th | Dorset Blitz |
