After four years as webmaster of this site I am standing down in the summer.  The DCCA and B&DCL are therefore looking for a new webmaster.

You might be thinking that this is a very technical job but it really isn’t.  You don’t need any IT skills to be able to do the role as all the technical stuff is done by the web designer, Niki Buskell, who created the site in the first place.

Publishing new pages and amending existing ones is done using WordPress, a very user friendly, menu driven way of managing websites.  Learning to use WordPress is much the same as learning to use something like Microsoft Word or Excel.  You can find your way around the basics very quickly have something published within a few minutes.  You can learn the bells and whistles over time.

I will spend plenty of time with anyone taking over as webmaster to help them find their way around site and will be happy to assist them in the early days.  Equally, Niki Buskell has always been happy to provide advice and guidance.  You won’t be left on your own (unless you want to be)!
