Lichess usernames have been added to the main tournament page so that you can easily see who you are playing.

There are 7 teams, also shown on the main tournament page. Some of these were entered normally, but some have been allocated based on clubs. Please check to see if you have been allocated a team.

Rating prizes will be awarded in the following 4 bands: 1899 to 1800, 1799 to 1650, 1649 to 1500 and Under 1500.

There will be an Opening Ceremony in the Chat Room https://meet.jit.si/DorsetRapidplay at 9:15 am

… and there will be light commentary / chat in the same Chat Room for those not playing (players may join when they are not playing) throughout the tournament.

There may be one or two 1st round games where your opponent does not move. This could happen where a player has ‘joined the tournament’ prior to today but fails to turn up. Unfortunately this happens. In this situation, please wait for your opponent’s clock to run down to zero when you will be awarded one point for the win.
