The Dorset Closed Chess Congress will take place

at the The West Cliff Hotel, Bournemouth

from Friday 19th January to Sunday 21st January 2024.

The tournament will be open to anyone who meets at least one of the following criteria:
a) Was born In Dorset
b) Has lived in Dorset for over 5 years
c) Plays regularly in either the B&DCL or Dorset County Chess League.

There will be 3 sections:

• Open

• Major: under 1850

• Minor: under 1600

Each tournament will be a 5 round Swiss played at the rate of 1 hour + 30 seconds

First prize in each section: £100
