The National Youth Championships are organised by the English Junior Coaches and Organisers Association (EJCOA).  To win the championship you first have to get through some tough qualifying rounds.

On Sunday February 16th, Finn Schell from Southbourne Chess Club did just that!   He won the U20 section of the Hampshire EJCOA Qualifier event, scoring and impressive 4.5 out of 6, half a point ahead of the rest of the field.
