Ringwood and Highcliffe players enjoying an outdoor match and a pint last summer!
Two matches were played between the clubs which were a lot of fun.

Highcliffe, Poole, Ringwood and Southbourne will be taking part in this new initiative for social fun chess over a friendly drink.

There are no rules just suggested guidelines …

• Each team to play each other at least once.
• All matches are currently scheduled to be held every fortnight on a Monday evening across a one month period.
• There will be no restriction on the number of players in each team. Match captains to agree in advance.
• Guest players from other clubs are permitted to take part and players can also play for more than one team as it is the playing rather than winning that counts.
• All games will be unrated.
• It is hoped many of these matches can be played outdoors … weather permitting!
• Match captains to agree on the logistics of each match but suggest a start time of 7pm and a time control of 45 minutes + 15 second increments to avoid any daylight issues (and to help juniors play on a school night).

Spectators are welcome but please check on LMS for the fixtures  which are currently scheduled as follows ….
