Mike Davidson, Chair of Wimborne Chess Club has reported on a junior chess initiative at Wimborne Library:

“We have started a project on junior chess. Our first meet was at the Wimborne Library, when we had only 5 participants, of which 4 were girls from Knighton House near Blandford.

Our second event took place again at the Library earlier in February and we had 15  participants.

Jorgen Holmstrom Nielsen has been the leader with innovative situations on the chess board.
