Poole Win The 2022 Two Towns Match

The captains, Richard Ursell for Bournemouth and David Fuller for Poole.

There was an excellent turn out of 44 players for the Two Towns match on Monday.  The event was played mainly as 22 mini matches of 2 games of 30 minutes a side each.

Poole won a close contest by 12-10, dominating on the top half of the boards whilst Bournemouth had much the better of the bottom half, all pretty much in accordance with ratings.

As ever the event was a good social occasion, doubtless aided by the nearby bar!

You can read more about the event in an entertaining report by David Fuller and see a fabulous collection of photos by Joe Wood.
