Wimborne Chess Club held its 8 second Buzzer Christmas Tournament, which was open to all local players, on Wednesday 20th December at the Merley Community Centre. This was followed by a social gathering with light refreshments.

There were 10 players who took part, mainly Wimborne players, but with a couple of guest players from other clubs.

After 6 exciting rounds, it finished with a 3 player tie for 1st place between Florence Spirling (Southbourne & Purbeck), Ian Clark (Wimborne) & Stuart Mallon (Wimborne) who all scored 5 points and each won a good prize.
