Wimborne Chess Club held its 10 second Buzzer Christmas Tournament, open to all local players, on Wednesday 21st December at the Merley Community Centre, which was followed by a social gathering with cheese, wine and mince pies.

There were 12 players who took part, mainly Wimborne players, but with one or two guest players from other clubs. The joint winners were Eddie Barker (Wimborne) and Ian Clark (Wimborne). In 3rd place was Florence Spirling (Southbourne & Purbeck) who played very well.

The Wimborne Chairman, Mike Davidson, presented Eddie & Ian with the Wimborne Chess Club Blitz Cup.

Everyone who attended had an enjoyable evening which was organised by Graham Hillman.
