The Dorset Rapidplay Championship Cup will be awarded to the highest placed player who has, in 2021/22, played in either the local Dorset or Bournemouth & District Chess Leagues, or was born in Dorset.

The Veterans Trophy will be awarded to best score by a local player over 65.

Tournament Controller is Martin Simons.

How to Enter

Entries are now closed.

Entry is restricted to those aged 18 years and over.
(Juniors should instead enter the Dorset Junior Chess Festival which is being run along side this event.)

Entry Fee: £10 payable in CASH ON THE DAY – please remember to bring cash!

We can only hold about half the normal amount of participants to ensure good playing conditions. 
Entry numbers will be strictly limited so please book your place early!

The event may well sell out prior to the day.  However, if that does not happen and entries on the day are accepted, they will attract a £5 surcharge.

Please note we may publish photographs taken at this event on the Dorset Chess website or in the Weekly Dorset Chess Newsletter and on other public forums. Pre-registration of your entry using the form below will be taken as confirmation of agreement to publish photographs taken at this event.
